Colligent measures engagement with brands using social network data to predict new audiences for your brand.
We do this by mapping the public behaviors of 309 million consumers in Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace to 36,000 brands, media, and entertainment.
How is Colligent different than the other social media measurement companies?
It's not just about what consumers say, but more importantly it is about what they do.
Colligent measures engagement as expressed by their explicit public actions.
This approach prevents ambiguity and the associated high error rate common in sentiment analysis systems. Actions such as posting a video, making a comment or re-tweeting are measured instead of what is being said in a comment or tweet. The Colligent system is built around user actions, not conversations, making it very reliable.
Privacy
We only collect public information from social networks, similar to how a search engine would.
We then aggregate the data so that our clients only see aggregate counts, percentages and indices. No personally identifiable information is ever exposed in our system, not even anonymously. We do not collect or track cookies or cookie information, only publicly available actions on social networks.
